What is pixel resurfacing?
Pixel resurfacing is a laser treatment that clears age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, shrink the appearance of pores and smooth out acne scars.
The pixel resurfacing laser creates thousands of microscopic perforations while leaving the surrounding tissue intact, making the skin appear fresh and youthful.
You may want pixel resurfacing if you suffer from:
- Sun damage
- Age spots
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Large pores
- Acne scars
The Procedure:
Dr. Calvert will apply the pixel resurfacing laser to your specified areas, allowing light to penetrate the skin with tiny thermal channels, as deep as a few sheets of paper.
These micro-injury sites begin healing and, as collagen remodels, scars begin to fade and texture start to improve.
Patients describe the feeling to a warming sensation similar to a light sunburn.
You may require a touch-up procedure after 6-12 months.
