What is an endoscopic brow lift?
The endoscopic brow lift is one of the most effective and popular brow lift procedures used today.
During this procedure, a series of small incisions are made at the top of the scalp behind the hairline in order to allow for the required shifting of the forehead tissue.
The endoscopic brow lift is a minimally invasive procedure with little to no scarring, no excision of excess scalp tissue, a relatively short surgical time required, and a relatively fast recovery period.
You may want to consider an endoscopic brow lift over other brow lift procedures if you desire:
- Less and smaller incisions
- A shorter surgical time
- No hair loss issues
- Less post-operative pain and scalp numbness
- Less elevation of the hairline
- A reversible procedure
The Procedure
The procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis and under general anesthesia.
Most patients have very little pain following the surgery due to the long-acting local anesthetic that is utilized.
Most patients return to work about a week after surgery.
There may be some bruising for a week or so and some swelling for a few weeks following surgery.
The brow lift is often performed in conjunction with other surgical procedures like the deep plane facelift, fox eye surgery, and more to provide a more complete facial rejuvenation.
