Nose Cones
Dr Jay Calvert is a Rhinoplasty Surgeon in Beverly Hills, California.
He performs a great number of operations where the nostrils require support after surgery.
This is typical if lateral crural strut grafts are used or even some articulated rim grafts.
These are basically cartilage grafts that help shape and support the nostrils long term.
However, in the early time period after surgery, the nostrils can use some additional support as there can be a great amount of swelling.
In the video by Dr Jay Calvert depicts the methodology for taping the nose and then using the nose cones.
Nostril support is the key.
This involves first taping the nose with 1/4″ tape.
Then, the cones are placed in the nostrils.
