What is a thigh lift?
Thigh lift surgery in Beverly Hills, or thighplasty, is a procedure that Dr. Calvert provides for patients after significant weight loss. It is a procedure that sculpts and reshapes the contours of your thighs and lower body by removing excess skin and fat from the inner and outer thigh areas.
If you are looking to tighten the appearance of your legs and thighs, a thigh lift could be the right procedure for you. A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that removes skin and fat from the thighs to tighten the skin and improve the contour of the legs.
You may want a thigh lift surgery if you:
- Desire more contoured legs
- Experience loss of skin elasticity due to aging, fluctuations in weight and gravity
- Do not have plans for a future pregnancy or significant amount of weight loss
The Beverly Hills Thigh Lift Surgery (Thighplasty) Procedure:
Thigh lift patients are placed under general anesthesia. Dr. Calvert will then make the incisions necessary for removal of excess skin and fat. Depending on the amount of improvement you desire, this incision may extend all the way around the thigh or only part of the way around the thigh in the groin crease between the trunk and the thigh.
After the incision has been made, Dr. Calvert gently elevates the skin and fat off of the underlying muscles of the thighs. The excess skin and fat will be removed and the skin will be redraped over the underlying muscles. One or more drains may be placed beneath the incision.
Thigh lift patients are advised to wear a compression garment to support the legs during healing, decrease post-operative swelling, and help decrease bruising.
Prior to your thigh lift surgery, Dr.Calvert will provide instructions for how to help reduce the risks of complications both before and after your thighplasty procedure.
