Labiaplasty

A labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that removes excess tissue from the labia. Labiaplasty plastic surgery procedure on the “lips” surrounding the vagina, can be performed alone or with vaginoplasty by labiaplasty expert Dr. Calvert.

What is labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty typically refers to the reduction of the inner labia, or labia minora. While there is no one “ideal” appearance for the labia, many women may have a need both physically or aesthetically for reduction. Desired appearance is fully based upon personal opinion.

You may want a labiaplasty if you have:

  • Asymmetrical labia
  • Darker colored labia
  • Discomfort during sexual intercourse
  • Discomfort during activities such as bike riding
  • Frequent irritation due to friction with clothing
  • Embarrassment due to excessive protrusion

The Beverly Hills Labiaplasty Procedure:

This procedure is done under local or general anesthesia. The excess portion of the labia will be excised and stitched using dissolvable stitches. The procedure typically lasts about one hour and the patient can resume normal activity with in one or two days after the procedure.
